Alexandra Gellé


After obtaining her bachelor in Chemistry at Montreal University, Alexandra started her Ph.D. in the Moores lab. During her undergraduate, she worked with Prof. William Skene at Montreal University on the design of azomethine-based devices with color switching properties and with Prof. Dianne Jolley at Wollongong University (Australia) on metal contamination in Australian waters. Alexandra's PhD project focus on plasmonic nanoparticles for catalysis. She is also involved in science communication as the president of Pint of Science Canada, an international outreach festival that promotes science through public speaker series organized in bars.
