Júlio César Terra
Julio got his Chemistry B.Sc. (along with a teaching degree in Chemistry) in 2015 at the Federal University of Lavras (Brazil) with an exchange period at the University of Toronto. His Chemistry M.Sc. degree was obtained from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (Brazil) at the group of Professor Moura, having carried out most of his master’s research project at the Moores Group as a Graduate Research Trainee in 2017, when he studied the use of functionalized mesoporous silica as a catalytic support for immobilization of copper. Julio joined the Moores Group officially as a Ph.D. student in 2018 and is interested in the development of highly-designed silica-based materials for use in the context of supported catalysis and green chemistry.
