Hamdam Gaminian

Post-Doctoral Researcher

Hamdam obtained her M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Textile Engineering (chemistry and fiber science) from Amirkabir University of Technology, Iran in 2019 under the supervision of Prof. Majid Montazer. After defending her thesis,  Hamdam worked in different positions in industry as a senior material researcher, project manager, and quality control inspector. 

She moved to Canada to pursue her studies at Queens University as a postdoctoral researcher where she focused on the biomass processing and development of novel, eco-friendly applications from renewable and sustainable bioresources. Hamdam joined the Moores lab in January 2023 as a postdoctoral researcher to explore the mechanochemical production and functionalization of bioplastics for various applications. In her spare time, she likes hiking, cooking, painting, and spending time with friends.
